FAQs

It's natural to want to know as much as possible when taking the difficult step of reaching out to a counselor. Here, you'll find answers to commonly asked questions. If you'd like to learn more, please know that I am always willing to answer your questions over the phone.

Therapy is for everyone. This business of being human can be beautiful and joyous, and it can also be really hard. Therapy is an opportunity to untangle emotions, shift our thoughts, and gain insight.

I believe that clients are the experts when it comes to themselves. You’re in the driver’s seat, determining topics and pace. Think of me as a sherpa, offering strategies, techniques, as well as occasional insight and direction.

It depends on the person and the challenges. What I can tell you definitively is that I will offer support and encouragement each step of the way.

Consider therapy sessions as your own personal space. You get to talk about whatever (and whoever) you want. So unless your guest is an active and relevant participant (for example, if you have scheduled couples sessions), you will not bring anybody else to your session.

Once we schedule your first session, I will send you information so that you can log into my client portal. The client portal will include online paperwork, which will upload automatically.

$130 per 50 minute session.

I am not In-Network with any insurance provider. I can provide monthly receipts (“Superbills”) that you can forward to your insurance company for any Out-of-Network benefit you are eligible to receive. (Ask your carrier about the Out-of-Network reimbursement rate for Outpatient Mental Health Services.)
